For Clinicians, By Clinicians
In 2018, we noticed a growing problem in the NHS. As clinicians ourselves, we noticed we were spending countless hours each week trying to organise or keep track of our task lists. It meant unnecessary stress, overwhelm, and worries of missing tasks.
We knew there had to be a better way. That’s why we created Lister. An app for clinicians by clinicians, Lister allows you to create your task-lists, share them with your team, and organise your workload – all in one place. And all from the convenience of your smartphone.
Meet The Team

Sophie
NHS Midwife and Co-Founder of Lister
Sophie is passionate about improving the NHS for the patients and the staff. This fuels her motivation, and she is driven to succeed in solving the task management problem she feels is still an issue to date. She is an NHS England Clinical Entrepreneur and a member of the National Digital Shared Decision-Making Council at NHSX who thrives in innovative, solution focused communities. Her mission is to support and empower the NHS workforce, focussing on digitally transforming our current working cultures and reducing technical burdens.

Phil
Emergency Medicine Doctor and NHS England Clinical Entrepreneur.
As a frontline clinician, Phil has experience of the practical barriers to achieving high productivity. He also has experience in clinical data science, having previously developed machine learning (ML) algorithms for the diagnosis of respiratory illnesses based on breath sound analysis, and the prediction of attendances to accident and emergency based on a range of variables including weather patterns. Phill applies this knowledge for the benefit of Lister and will lead in the development of capturing clinical task data and applying ML to reduce clinical variation whilst supporting decision making.

Kieren
Software Engineer and CTO of Lister
Kieran has previously held Lead Developer and Principal Developer roles at large corporations such as TalkTalk, but, critically, managed the Software Development team at a large acute hospital Trust (Aintree University Hospital). Daniel brings a great deal of versatility to the team thanks to his previous job roles in Manufacturing and Retail. He joins Lister as a Junior software and automation tester. During his previous roles in Manufacturing, he worked closely alongside QA/QC/CI teams allowing him to bring +5 years’ worth of experience to his current role at Lister. Daniel’s Mum is a retired Nurse that dedicated more than 35 years of service within the NHS, his sister is currently training to become a nurse too. Their experiences fuel his motivation to contribute towards creating an effective solution for the task management problem. Dan is very experienced working with ISO 9001 QMS frameworks within manufacturing and he is committed to using this experience to adapt and ensure Lister complies to ISO/TR 8002-2:2017 standards.
